Like Stars On Earth Eight-year-old Ishaan's world is filled with wonders that no one else seems to appreciate. Adults are more interested in things like homework and marks. And Ishaan just can't seem to get anything right in class. When he gets into more trouble than his parents can handle, he is packed off to boarding school to "be disciplined." New art teacher, Nikumbh, infects the students with joy and optimism and breaks all the rules of how things are done by asking them to think, dream and imagine. All the children respond with enthusiasm except Ishaan. Nikumbh soon realizes that something is wrong and sets out to discover why. With time, patience and care, he ultimately helps Ishaan find himself.

Like Stars on Earth, which comes equipped with a 3-disc pack, offers viewers a chance to watch the film with either Hindi or English subtitles and songs. Disney's DVD makes the most of your home entertainment system's 5.1 Dolby Digital surround sound. The best thing about Like Stars on Earth is probably the visually striking cinematography, which brings Ishaan's world to life with lively colors and creative thinking. The first disc contains the entire length of the film, the second and third discs are filled with exciting bonus features such as deleted scenes, the making of Like Stars on Earth, panel discussion on children and feature commentary by Director Aamir Khan.

Overall, Like Stars on Earth is by far the most sensitive and educational portrayal of childhood dyslexia, a problem that often goes unnoticed in India.
