Tum MileiTum Mile’ by director Kunal Deshmukh set at the backdrop of Mumbai flood. July 26, 2005 is in the black memory of every Mumbaikars and holding that very incident a love story has been framed. As long as the heavy downpour featured, it was engrossing but when it started to tell the story of two ex-lovers who met during that dark, cloudy day in Mumbai six years later, the film becomes monotonous and boring.

Kunal Deshmukh scores high in his directional debut ‘Jannat’ but here he shows rawness in handling the script. Mumbai flood has only been used to frame up the story. When two lovers caught in the flood, they go back to their joyful days and their days of separation. They came to know each other better in their second encounter and what they lack in their first meeting. When the couple’s love story proceeds, it would look like any other Bollywood love stories. As the story moves forward, the most catastrophic happening takes a backseat and look like any other love story.

Two couple injured in love Ali Taha (Emraan Hashmi) and Sanjana (Soha Ali Khan) met after six years. Ali was a struggling artist and Sanjana, a well known journalist. They had a live-in relationship but professionalism and money took toll in their relationship and they soon part away. Their love story started and ended in Cape Town.

Six years later, they happened to face each other in flooded Mumbai when they were on their way to airport. Ali rescue Sanjana and then they discovers some unknown faces of their personality which they did not able to know before. Under what circumstances they will come together and how will they renew their relationship forms the rest of the story.

Kunal has handled some portion very well. The music of the film scores high. Pritam ruled in this film too. The song 'Dil Ibaadat' is best composed and sung. The cinematography was excellent.

Speaking about performances, Emraan Hashmi again showed his prowess. He is growing better with every film. His performance in Tum Mile will go to his credit. Soha Ali Khan is very natural and she has performed superbly well. Sachin Khedekar and Mantra, as Emraan's friend was fine.

On the whole, Tum Mile will basically appeal to the youths. It is another romantic film with Mumbai flood at the backdrop. Box office collection is expected to be average. It is a simple love story and nothing unusual should be expected.
